Will has led a number of large-scale digital product development initiatives and consulted widely on Generative AI adoption and digital transformation in the B2B information, media and events industries.

Andy Baker, Director & Practice Lead, B2B Information, Collingwood Advisory Previously, Andy was Managing Director of The Lawyer 2017-2021. He led the team that transformed The Lawyer into a market-leading subscription and information business, based on double-digit increases in subscriber usage, outstanding retention rates and yield increases, and new data-rich product development. Before that, Andy spent 6 years as Managing Director of HSJ, the Health Service Journal. Andy led the team that transformed HSJ from advertising to subscriptions, from print-centric to digital-only, and from declining performance to healthy growth. Andy led the sale of HSJ from Ascential plc to Wilmington plc for £19m in early 2017. Andy holds a first degree from Oxford University and an MBA from IMD, Switzerland.

Ed Coburn, CEO, Cabot Wealth Network

Ed Coburn has spent his entire career in the specialized publishing business at Cahners Publishing, Cutter Information Corp., Circadian Information, Harvard Medical School, and Mequoda Systems prior to acquiring Cabot. He has spoken frequently at publishing and media events and served on the board of a number of industry associations. Ed is Co-chair of Renewd.

Robin Crumby, Co-Founder Novatum Group, Kademy

Robin is a serial entrepreneur with hands-on experience in starting, managing and advising high-growth subscription-based businesses via non-Exec Board positions, leadership roles or investment. Based in London, Robin co-founded Melcrum in 1996, a research and training business, acquired in 2015 by NASDAQ-listed Corporate Executive Board, now part of Gartner. Since then, Robin has co-founded Novatum Group, Kademy, and is a Board Chair for TMT Finance, DataIQ, Structured Credit Investor and Tamarindo Group. Robin is a regular speaker and writer on entrepreneurship with a book on ‘Founder Exit’ in the works. He graduated from Bristol University, holds a Diploma in European Business Administration from UWE and was Entrepreneur-in-residence at Bayes Business School. Robin is the author of ‘The Hurst Chronicles’ book series, a long-distance runner, plays field hockey and enjoys tennis and messing around in boats.

Brian Cuthbert, Group Vice President, Diversified Communications

Brian Cuthbert is a Group Vice President at Diversified Communications U.S., a global media company delivering meaningful experiences and customer outcomes for its communities through events and digital products. Brian oversees Diversified Communications' Business Communities division, with responsibility for broad portfolio of conferences, tradeshows, hosted buyer events, membership and e-learning offerings. Brian is also part of the Diversified Communications U.S. leadership team. Brian joined Diversified in April 2013 through an acquisition of the Institute of Finance & Management as their Director of Sales and later became its Executive Director in 2015. There, he was responsible for the significant growth of its event portfolio and certification business. Brian has spent his career in the specialty information world and previously, he held sales and leadership roles at Greenhaven Partners and Kennedy Information – selling and leading sales teams across a wide variety of industries. Brian graduated Fordham University with a B.A. in Communication & Media Studies. Originally from New York, he now resides in Maine with his wife, two daughters, two dogs and (despite his objections) two cats.

Kevin Delaney, CEO & Editor-in-chief, Charter

Kevin J. Delaney is CEO and editor-in-chief of Charter, a future-of-work media and research company. He was previously a senior editor for The New York Times and The Information. Kevin co-founded Quartz and served as co-CEO and editor-in-chief. Prior to Quartz, Kevin was a reporter at The Wall Street Journal for a decade, with that time split between Paris and San Francisco. He became managing editor of WSJ.com, where he led efforts that won journalism awards and helped greatly expand the Journal’s online readership. Early in his career, Kevin was a reporter for SmartMoney magazine and a TV producer in Montreal. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a board member at the Internews global journalism nonprofit, and has a degree in history from Yale University.

Merry Eisner-Heidorn, COO & Co-Publisher, RTO Insider

Merry has devoted her career to evangelizing about the most efficient and effective ways to reach customers. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, she went to work in the media department of the large Chicago advertising firm now known as D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles. She moved later to a small, boutique ad firm in Baltimore, and then on to New York City, where she conducted marketing and media research for outdoor media at TDI Winston. In an effort to improve upon media research techniques, she became a consultant providing metrics used to purchase and validate media audiences and advertising. As a consultant, she helped clients including Mobil Oil, MoneyGram and Carnation Foods improve their understanding of their customers and the best ways to reach them. Returning to work after having children, she became an education advocate and worked in the Maryland legislature. In 2013, she founded RTO Insider, a trade publishing company focused on the electric industry, with her husband Rich Heidorn Jr.

David Foster, Chairman, Business Valuation Resources

David is the Chairman of Business Valuation Resources, the leading data, training and research provider for the global business valuation profession. Much of BVR’s growth results from responses to the revolution in information industry business processes during the last decade. In addition to BVR, Foster was the co-founder of IOMA, Inc., a management publisher he sold to the Bureau of National Affairs in 1998. He has served on the Boards and/or Executive Committees of 14 information industry companies, as well as a number of non-profits such as Copyright Clearance Center and Bates College. He was SIPA President in 1999, won SIPA’s Hall of Fame Award 2000, and is now a co-founder and executive committee member of Renewd.net, the open community for information industry professionals.

With the help of over 150 staff and operations on three continents, Dan oversees the subscription, advertising, and events business related to 10 digital news services. Dan is a member of the FT’s senior management group, is the chairman of the FT’s 401k investment committee, is a member of the board of directors for Endpoints News and Renewd.net, and sits on the executive advisory board for MediaGrowth. Dan earned an MBA at Indiana University and was a national champion gymnast.

Diane Schwartz, CEO, Ragan Communications

Diane Schwartz is the Chief Executive Officer of Ragan Communications, a leading media company that serves communicators worldwide with education, networking and unparalleled event experiences. Brands include Ragan, PR Daily, Communications Week and Ragan Training. Tentpole events include the Employee Communications Conference, Future of Communications, Social Media Conference at Disney World and the newly launched Women’s Retreats. Ragan’s Communications Leadership Council is the premier member organization for communicators at large, multinational organizations. Diane joined Ragan in 2019 after serving for 23 years at Access Intelligence, where she was SVP of the media communications division and oversaw the growth of brands including PR News, Cynopsis, AdExchanger, Admonsters and many others. Schwartz has launched more than 100 conferences, training and certificate programs, awards competitions and subscription products that put customer and premium content front and center. A former journalist, Schwartz is a frequent guest lecturer at universities nationwide, a board member of the Institute for Public Relations and a founding member of Chief. She is a wish granter for Make a Wish, a volunteer for the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County (CT), a mother of two young adults and a rescue dog.

Egon Smullyan, Vice President of Commercial Operations, FT Specialist

Egon Smullyan is VP of Commercial Operations for FT Specialist. In his role, Egon is responsible for administering a variety of computerized systems and processes to drive operational efficiency across the business, primarily focused on B2B subscription management. Kevin Turpin II is president of National Journal Group, a research and information services portfolio company. Since Turpin took over the role of president in 2016, he has led the organization through a complete transformation from a traditional media company to its current enterprise, which includes founding a new portfolio company, Gravity Research. The company has experienced double digit revenue growth every year since he took the helm Turpin has a deep passion for mentorship of young people and serves as chair of the board of City Year DC; a non-profit dedicated to mentoring young people during their primary and secondary years of education. He is also the board chair of Gracism Global, a non-profit focused on equipping leaders that have decided to bridge the deep divides of color, class, and culture in their industries. In addition, Turpin serves as a member of the Economic Club of Washington and the Council on Foreign Relations. A proud Hoya, Turpin is a graduate of Georgetown University.
