Marshall Cooper

CEO, Chief Executive Group

Marshall is a serial entrepreneur who builds media, information and membership-based companies.  

As CEO of Chief Executive Group, LLC—which creates communities of trust for CEOs, Boards and other business leaders—he leads a dynamic, motivated team that has achieved compound annual revenue growth of more than 21% since 2009. 

He previously helped lead Kennedy Information before its successful sale to the Bureau of National Affairs (now Bloomberg) in 2000 with five-year organic revenue growth of 650%. He and his partners executed turn-arounds with The Institute of Finance and Management (IOFM), Exchange Networks, Media Publishing International, and Pyramid Research. They also helped found the web-marketing firm Vizium (sold to Aegis, PLC).

During the Presidency of George H. Bush, Marshall prepared The Daily White House News Summary (1989-91). He also served as an economics officer for the U.S. Department of State in Helsinki, Finland. Marshall did M&A and strategy work for Primedia and The New York Times Company and has served on the boards of several effective non-profits, including the National Board of Directors of AIPAC and CAMERA. 

Marshall holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
