Bill Carter

Bill Carter took leadership of ALM as president and chief executive officer in March 2012. Carter has championed various acquisition and organic strategies advancing the growth and expansion of markets ALM serves. He joined ALM from Thompson Reuters where he was senior vice president of the Small Law Business Unit since 2010 and led its successful reorganization and growth. An accomplished expert in the digital and legal services industry, he has also driven significant value creation as a senior executive at LexisNexis, Epiq Systems, Bain Consulting and GES Exposition Services. Carter is a member of the Georgia Tech College of Computing Dean’s Advisory Board and served on the board of Connectiv, the Business Information Association. Carter earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science at Tulane University, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and a Master of Business Administration with honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dan Oswald

Dan Oswald is CEO of Simplify Compliance, a diversified training and information company that offers its customers innovative solutions, authoritative content, and practical, easy-to-use software tools to meet regulatory compliance obligations and streamline employee workflows. At Simplify Compliance, Dan has orchestrated a number of mergers and acquisitions that have propelled the company’s growth and entrance into new markets. Simplify Compliance operates with three business units: BLR, CCMI, and HCPro, covering human capital management, telecommunications, and healthcare respectively.

Meg Hargreaves

Meg is the Chief Operating Officer at Industry Dive and has spent her entire career in the media and information industry. She joined the leadership team at Industry Dive as its first COO in March 2020 and has played a key role in the company’s most recent growth by overseeing and scaling key operations and leading M&A integration for five acquisitions in three years in the run-up to Industry Dive’s sale to Informa PLC in September 2022. Meg has held executive roles at some of the largest information companies, including The Economist, Reed-Elsevier and BNA/Bloomberg and serves on the SIIA Board of Directors as its immediate past chair. She started her career on K Street in the government affairs department of McGraw-Hill.

Sean Griffey

Sean is a cofounder and the CEO of Industry Dive. He initially got started in media at FierceMarkets where he served as President. Before catching the start-up bug, Sean spent nearly 10 years as a consultant at A.T. Kearney and PricewaterhouseCoopers helping companies with a broad range of strategic and operational engagements. Sean has a B.S. in Economics from Penn State and an M.B.A. from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

Andy Baker, Director & Practice Lead, B2B Information, Collingwood Advisory Previously, Andy was Managing Director of The Lawyer 2017-2021. He led the team that transformed The Lawyer into a market-leading subscription and information business, based on double-digit increases in subscriber usage, outstanding retention rates and yield increases, and new data-rich product development. Before that, Andy spent 6 years as Managing Director of HSJ, the Health Service Journal. Andy led the team that transformed HSJ from advertising to subscriptions, from print-centric to digital-only, and from declining performance to healthy growth. Andy led the sale of HSJ from Ascential plc to Wilmington plc for £19m in early 2017. Andy holds a first degree from Oxford University and an MBA from IMD, Switzerland.

Merry Eisner-Heidorn, COO & Co-Publisher, RTO Insider

Merry has devoted her career to evangelizing about the most efficient and effective ways to reach customers. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, she went to work in the media department of the large Chicago advertising firm now known as D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles. She moved later to a small, boutique ad firm in Baltimore, and then on to New York City, where she conducted marketing and media research for outdoor media at TDI Winston. In an effort to improve upon media research techniques, she became a consultant providing metrics used to purchase and validate media audiences and advertising. As a consultant, she helped clients including Mobil Oil, MoneyGram and Carnation Foods improve their understanding of their customers and the best ways to reach them. Returning to work after having children, she became an education advocate and worked in the Maryland legislature. In 2013, she founded RTO Insider, a trade publishing company focused on the electric industry, with her husband Rich Heidorn Jr.

David Foster, 2024 Renewd Summit Conference Chair

David is the CEO of Business Valuation Resources, the leading data, training and research provider for the global business valuation profession. Much of BVR’s growth results from responses to the revolution in information industry business processes during the last decade. In addition to BVR, Foster was the co-founder of IOMA, Inc., a management publisher he sold to the Bureau of National Affairs in 1998. He has served on the Boards and/or Executive Committees of 14 information industry companies, as well as a number of non-profits such as Copyright Clearance Center and Bates College. He was SIPA President in 1999, won SIPA’s Hall of Fame Award 2000, and is now a co-founder and executive committee member of Renewd.net, the open community for information industry professionals.

Diane Schwartz, CEO, Ragan Communications

Diane Schwartz is the Chief Executive Officer of Ragan Communications, a leading media company that serves communicators worldwide with education, networking and unparalleled event experiences. Brands include Ragan, PR Daily, Communications Week and Ragan Training. Tentpole events include the Employee Communications Conference, Future of Communications, Social Media Conference at Disney World and the newly launched Women’s Retreats. Ragan’s Communications Leadership Council is the premier member organization for communicators at large, multinational organizations. Diane joined Ragan in 2019 after serving for 23 years at Access Intelligence, where she was SVP of the media communications division and oversaw the growth of brands including PR News, Cynopsis, AdExchanger, Admonsters and many others. Schwartz has launched more than 100 conferences, training and certificate programs, awards competitions and subscription products that put customer and premium content front and center. A former journalist, Schwartz is a frequent guest lecturer at universities nationwide, a board member of the Institute for Public Relations and a founding member of Chief. She is a wish granter for Make a Wish, a volunteer for the Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County (CT), a mother of two young adults and a rescue dog.

Alexi Khajavi

Alexi Khajavi is President of Hospitality & Travel for Questex LLC, a global business intelligence company that informs and connects buyers and sellers across five key sectors; hospitality, travel, healthcare, wellness and technology. Alexi is responsible for the overall management and development of the company’s global hospitality and travel communications properties and events including notable flagship assets like the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) Summit Series, The Bar & Restaurant Expo, Ultra Travel Summit, Luxury Travel Advisor, Hospitality Insights, HOTEC and the Destination Develop investment promotion arm. Khajavi, who brings more than 20 years of travel, technology, hospitality, media and aviation experience to his position, joined Questex in 2014 as head of Hospitality and Hotel Investment. Prior to joining Questex, Khajavi was senior vice president, global strategy, for MercuryCSC, a creative agency specializing in the travel industry where he helped design global marketing campaigns for hotel companies, tourism boards and active lifestyle brands. Prior to MercuryCSC, he was one of the founding team members of the travel consortium Nature Group based in Costa Rica and helped lead the airline and hospitality portfolio to be awarded the fastest growing travel company in Central America between 2003 and 2010 and the world’s first carbon neutral airline in 2005. Khajavi has been a board member and advisor to a number of non-profits and tech companies including the Center for Responsible Travel at Stanford University, The Center for Health and the Global Environment at the Harvard School of Public Health, Sustainable Travel International and KERBspace an early stage startup in the revolutionizing the electric vehicle charging stations for the built environment. Khajavi holds a B.A from the University of California Santa Cruz, graduating Magna Cum Laude, with distinction and honors.

Ben Northover

Over the past 16 years with the Financial Times Group, Ben has worked on various new product development initiatives across business development and product roles both in London and New York. Currently, as Group Product Manager at FT Specialist, Ben is focused on diversifying and growing the group's portfolio of digital product offerings for Specialist audiences, through an established process of discovery, testing and development.

Carola York

Carola is Managing Director of FT Specialist Europe and responsible for 10 market-leading niche audience brands including The Banker, Investors’ Chronicle, FTAdviser, FDI Intelligence and the recently launched Sustainable Views. A digital and subscription specialist, Carola previously worked for other publishers including The Economist, The Spectator and EMAP, as well as for Jellyfish, the digital marketing and digital transformation agency. She regularly judges industry awards and is Chair of Trustees of the Association of Circulation Executives.

Cathleen Lavelle

Cathleen Lavelle is the Media Sales Director for Simplify Compliance and leads the company's media sales teams serving both healthcare and human capital management communities. The Simplify Media network has one of the largest audiences of professionals available to advertisers today through digital products, educational webinars, and live and virtual networking solutions. Prior to this position, Cathleen served as Healthcare Media Sales Director for Simplify Compliance and has also held various marketing and client success roles in the media industry.

Catlin Sweeney

Catlin is the Group Marketing Director for Money-Media. In this role, she oversees the team responsible for the company's marketing and communication strategies, including branding, lead generation, social media, and more. She is based in New York. She joined Money-Media in 2013 as the Research Team Captain, worked as a Marketing Associate from 2014–2016, and was the Group Marketing Manager from 2016-2019. She graduated with a B.S. in Advertising and Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Craig Fuller

Craig Fuller is the founder and CEO of FreightWaves, the leading provider of global supply chain market intelligence and news. Prior to FreightWaves, Craig was the founder of TransCard, a major provider of fleet fuel and debit cards. He is also the CEO of FLYING Magazine, the world’s most widely read aviation magazine. Previously, Fuller founded the Xpress Direct division of US Xpress, a leading provider of on-demand expedited truckload services. He holds a BBA from Baylor University and is a private pilot. He lives with his wife and 5 kids in Chattanooga, TN.

Dan Fink

Dan oversees the Money-Media business unit, which was acquired by the Financial Times in 2008. Money-Media is a native digital publisher with over 130 staff, 10 products, and operations on three continents. Money-Media sits within FT Specialist, the Financial Times' specialist publishing division, and publishes premium news across multiple industries. Dan is a member of the FT's senior management group, is the chairman of the FT's 401k investment committee, and sits on the executive advisory board for multiple publishing industry groups, including Renewd, MediaGrowth, and the AM&P Network. Dan earned an MBA at Indiana University and was a national champion gymnast.

Greg Krehbiel

Greg's decades-long career in B2B and B2C publishing has included lengthy gigs in editorial, marketing, product development, web development, management, and operations. He's an expert at bridging the intellectual and cultural divide between technical and creative staff. Working as a consultant, Greg solves technology, strategy, operations, and process problems for publishers. His expertise includes Customer Data Platforms, acquisition and retention, e-commerce, RFPs, fulfillment, and project management.

Jennifer Schwartz

Jennifer is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic business development efforts across AI’s Industry & Infrastructure group. Key brands include Chemical Engineering, Global Connected Aircraft Summit, P3C Media, Exchange Monitor, POWER, EXPERIENCE Power, SATELLITE, OR Manager, Avionics, Defense Daily and Exchange Monitor Publications & Forums. She has full P/L responsibilities and also evaluates and helps integrate key acquisition targets in the markets she serves. Jennifer has worked at Access Intelligence since 1997 and held previous publisher positions in the defense and energy groups. Jennifer successfully integrated the LDC Forum events into AI’s portfolio in 2006, Exchange Monitor Publications & Forums in 2015 and P3C Media events in 2018. Previously, Jennifer held sales and marketing positions in the telecom and banking industries. She has a BS degree in Marketing from the distinguished Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland. Jennifer also successfully completed ABM’s B-to-B Advanced Leadership Program at Northwestern University in 2012.

Kelsey Powers is the Executive Director of Account Management, POLITICO Pro. She and her team drive service, retention, and double-digit growth strategy for the widely successful POLITICO Pro product. Prior to joining POLITICO in 2020, Kelsey spent a decade in a variety of account management and leadership roles at Gartner (via acquisition of CEB), where she helped fuel increased retention and growth rates across multiple products. She's passionate about team development and exceptional client support. Kelsey also enjoys all things food related; traveling with her husband, Ryan; and enjoying time with her son, Brickman, and dog, Ollie.

Lisa McInturff

A veteran marketing professional with over 22 years of experience, Lisa has an appreciation for and the ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts to deliver successful outcomes and results. At Business Valuation Resources, as Chief Revenue Officer Lisa constructs the vision and spearheads the execution of the company’s sales, lead generation, onboarding, retention and marketing strategies. Prior to joining BVR, Lisa worked for a variety of companies including a fabless semiconductor company, a professional audio visual solutions and support provider, and a digital display manufacturer.

Nini Diana

Nini Diana has been in marketing for over 20 years. In the early 2000s she pivoted to all things digital, spearheading efforts to use behavioral data to create more a relevant strategy across channels. She has worked in educational publishing, ed tech, and food media. Now at Harvard Business Review, she has led a team to grow the subscription revenue by 20% in 4 years by leveraging diverse offers and transitioning the business to a more modern tech stack.

Rob Stuart

Rob Stuart is the Vice President and Chief Digital Officer for the Massachusetts Medical Society, NEJM Group and its flagship journal, the New England Journal of Medicine. As CDO, Rob leads digital business and digital transformation initiatives across the enterprise. Through strengthening collaboration and alignment between enterprise technology and business teams, Rob ensures the development of the unified, strategic digital capabilities needed to deliver on growth, to drive efficiency and to advance the digital transformation of the customer experience. Rob has created and executed strategies for new product development, global sales, technology and marketing at companies such as CFO Publishing, the New England Journal of Medicine, Little, Brown and Company, and HCPro. Rob has a wide and varied perspective on B2B and B2C information strategies, having served stints as a publisher, a marketing and sales VP, a chief operating officer, board member, and as an interim CEO. He has worked with physicians, attorneys, engineers, architects, pharmaceutical executives and IT professionals to develop customer-focused strategies to drive business growth.
